Who are we? What is a Democrat? If you ask ten people, you are likely to get ten different answers.

It was during Franklin Roosevelt's first term that American humorist Will Rogers is said to have joked: "I am a member of no organized political party-I am a Democrat."

In spite of Will Rogers' joke, the Democratic Party has a basic set of beliefs shaped by our values. A good read - and an excellent blueprint for defining who we are and what we stand for.
